>>38120286What the hell is Ash's role in the game universe? Since the events of Gen 1-7 all happened without his influence what is he doing in the games? His Kanto quest should be massively different because the "Gary" he knows doesn't exist, and Misty/Brock may not travel with him.
Alain may also exist in the games, but he isn't the Kalos champ nor did he get involved with Team Flare. However, he did meet Steven Stone.
Since there is a passage of time in the games, Ash is probably a teenager which is why we'll never meet him. Since he doesn't get involved in the other regions and Red isn't the Kanto champion, is it possible that vidya Ash is the current Kanto champ? If Ash won Kanto, then it would explain why he doesn't explore the other regions.
