I have been trying to figure out the best Pokemon that can work solo with an empty bench.
First, I tried an Espeon EX deck with a comical amount of healing items. It's not too bad, but, once the Opponent realizes you are purposely not putting other Pokemon on the bench, they usually will prioritize charging up Giratina.
A solo Espeon EX can be quite tanky. Baby Espeon for Oricorio mostly. Sylveon in emergency-use only, don't get greedy with drawing speed.
Then, I tried Skarmory EX. I just needed a back-up Pokemon in case of Oricorio, and Bastiodon seems nice, since you'll ALWAYS start with Skarmory EX in your opening hand. I only have 1 Jasmine in my collection, I would assume 2 Jasmines would be better. This deck doesn't require Pokeball, which gives you more space for supporter cards. Not sure if Steel Apron would be better than Rocky Helmet. Maybe I'll try running one of both...
I've been getting more ranked wins with the second deck, but, it might be RNG luck.
