>>39537497I think they gave us enough from Ash's side to determine how he would react in such outcomes. Hell, that one is straight out of dori dori. I think if you are perfectly willing to drink the XYZ kool-aid, you gain a vague understanding of just how much Ash cares about Serena. In my head he just doesn't really know it. Literally another The Last scenario. And if it weren't for those two frames of shimmery eyes, I'd be right there alongside with you. The eyes, and his dialogue with Clemont afterwards. He doesn't seem conflicted, or confused. He seems happy, and reassured of Serena's growth. He also seemed happy after Serena told him she'd become a woman for him. Him looking so satisfied as he watches her leave tells me he was receptive to her goal and her kiss in a positive manner. They gave us the bare minimum, but I do think it was enough to refer to our gut for any future related questions.
Maybe it's just me though. I was more than happy with what we got. I never saw it coming.
