And yeah, my beta did say similar things (Very specifically that I am not funny and should stop trying to ever be) but I can't stop my want for a comedic edge in any non-serious situation.
As for the "adventure" part, I have a lot of plans. I'm the type that maps out as much as possible in a fic so I can get a nice plot that actually has rising action and I've literally spent weeks trying to figure out a satisfying resolution.
So, uh, what I'm trying to say is that if it's good now, you'll be pleased to know that I personally think it should only get better from here. Because that's what everyone else said about my other fic I've written (except that one started out being really bad and got decent by the end).
