Is it just me or did Diamond/Pearl/Platinum have a wierd tone, that a bright colorful nuPokemon remake would ruin?
I hesitate to use the word mature, because its a pokemon game, but they were a very quiet somber set of games compared to some of the others, with a tone more similar to gen 1 than the gen 3 and 5 that surrounded it.
In a wierd twist, they remind me of a quiet dead snowfall, maybe there was some bigger theming behind the games?
tl;dr a re-make would normalize the tone of D/P/P, and likely ruin them and their story.
