>>57110489finished my 45 wins, these are the final stats (it says 43 wins because I got 2 instant concedes, also the stats for just karp and just chatot don't add up to the total ones exactly because I opened both 2 times and couldn't be bothered to make a new section)
halfway there I realized that with just 3 fossils I was a bit too susceptible to sabrina, so I tried cutting 1 x speed for a fourth, but x speed was also quite good and it enables some more subtle plays that I only realized while playing. in the end, it is with a heavy heart that I settled on cutting 1 slab for the second amber. the dexes still have plenty of value even when not drawn in combination with slab so it was the most replaceable card in that sense.
as for interesting matchups:
>17/3 vs celebithis metric is very much skewed by the opponents not playing properly even after they realize the kind of deck that I am, but I'll take it. it's singlehandedly what gives this deck a positive overall winrate. it feels a bit bad being a one trick pony that's only really good vs the most popular deck, but then again for a list so out there I feel like it's a good accomplishment
>5/3 vs m2giovanni was the card that let me win in 4 of those 5 wins. I definitely won't even consider cutting it as long as m2 is this popular
>1/5 vs pikakarp being oneshottable by 20dmg electric moves and zebstrika do add up
>6/9 vs water mirrors (all the combinations of cuno, mie, gyara, vapo, greninja and druddrigon)opposing gyaras are ironically a terrible matchup because they're outside the damage range and I have a lot of trouble in setting up a situation where I can soften them up with omanyte. greninja is also a pain in the ass, and starmie exerts a lot of early pressure.
>0/3 vs blaineI guess an early omanyte is the only way to fight back, insane highrolls aside
