>>53338565>Is it worth doing the Events this early on in the game?Yes. All of them can be done to a certain point until the level requirement and difficulty shows you which ones are too hard for you.
If you get Professor Sycamore & Xerneas, it's recommended to do his event story RIGHT NOW. All of the characters you can get from Legendary Adventures have their upgrade materials locked to these events, and you're lucky enough to start the game with his event currently ongoing. Do them, grind for event coupons (the reward for the event), then get his upgrade materials from the exchange menu. (The blue circle button on the bottom right of the screen while you're in that event menu)
>How do I upgrade characters if the Events battles are kicking my ass?You can check the upgrade menu for the trainer you want. The menu is pretty self-explanatory there.
If you want to know where to get the upgrade materials, click the Training Area button in the exploration menu. I wouldn't recommend farming for Level-up Manuals (This game's version of Rare Candies) since it's really easy to level up characters just by playing the game.
What you want from the Training Area are the Sync Orbs. They're used to unlock a Trainer's Sync Grid upgrades (This game's version of EVs, IVs, and Abilities all rolled up into a Grid System) and that you're limited to 10 tries per day to farm these. Doing these are also a good source for free levels. You don't have to worry about the Level Caps until you start doing challenge missions.
>Is there any useful tip that would come in handy if I need more information?Click and hold any item you see, and they generally give you a pop-up menu explaining what they are and where to get them. The upgrade menu in general has this so it redirects you to what item you want. if the item in question has no source, then it's most likely tied to an event that's not available right now.
I'd write more but it's hard to explain something without going off on a tangent.
