>>52175110Yeah, I just gave up and am getting the games anyway, I was talking to my co-worker and he was like
>Yeah the games look bad but I want to get them anyways because I want to play a game with a grass starter'Just for that?' I asked him, 'Can't you just replay an older game with a starter you haven't picked before?'
>I mean yeah I can, but I might as well get the new game to round it out.It made me realize people don't buy Pokemon games for quality, they just buy them because its Pokemon and they're basically hard wired to drop money on them. We've lost so many features in this series over time, and the games are trading away content for monetization and everyone is just cheering for it. People will openly say the games don't look very promising but still have them on pre-order anyway. SWSH sold a morbillion. No one cares, they just want to see the funny Pikachu get big. Obviously I can't tell people what to do with their money, but it bums me the fuck out that people will see a very deliberate slip in quality, or even outright say they don't like a laundry list of things about the game and still buy it. No one cares, that's the bottom line I keep coming back to, no one actually cares.
So, I don't care anymore either. Maybe it was childish of me to care about these games as anything more than a vehicle to sell toys in the first place.
