>>48100200>HM'sIf TM's work like BW then HM's should be forgettable, if someone teaches Lapras scald they should be able to replace it with surf and back to scald whenever they want, most players aren't dumb enough to soft lock themselves, that's if HM's are needed and you can't just give the player any ability to get past the obstacles any other way, if you can't do that, Make move deleter in every pokemon center, just easy access to removing HM's is nice.
>PlotEvil teams are fun and all, but sometimes it's nice to go simple, maybe just have thugs that you have to take on instead of an organized crime syndicate, or a very small team of goons, the world doesn't always need to be great danger and be relatively cozy adventure, with the occasional asshole standing in the way to make you go about progressing differently, like they block route 102, so you have to go back to the city and reach the destination by traveling through the sewers instead, just makes sure NPC's can give hints about it, like the workers near the area could tell about where they connect to, to clue the player in. This makes the world feel more expansive and alive when traversing it too.
>grindingTry giving out a EXP.Share that ether works like Clover's giving the whole team exp without breaking the game, and making it so pokemon in the back will gain level but will slowly fall behind if never used, it's the best way to handle it you want to minimize grinding without removing grinding completely, you can also just give one normal EXP.share for a teammate to hold on to, maybe even make it hidden with a npc to reward players for talking to the people around them, and allow early game grinding to move faster.
