>>33673324Ah, I see. I get where you're coming from.
Well, as a student teacher who's been working with students for month long stretches, I can tell you some student responses are warranted. I'm psyched you're so empathetic towards educators, but man... many aren't the ideal teacher you've described in your response.
Sometimes a coded (or hell, blatant) flip-off to a school is not only understandable, but respected. Hell I wrote to the local paper about how ecstatic I was that my old high-school was closing down (Did 1/2 month worth of observations there and fuck, it went to the dogs. A social studies teacher literally let seven students sleep in class because "it makes it easier to teach the good ones" and spent chunks of his time talking about how blacks agree with everything Obama says because he's black and that Civil Unions were an acceptable alternative to gay marriage. Like, dude, keep your shit in your pants and teach.)
I dunno, I'm all about students blazing forward. The only times I hate senior quotes are when students shit on themselves. Other than that, be funny, be sassy, give an f.u to students and teacher alike, be bitchy, be political and don't regret shit.
Why the fuck did I blog post? I'm so sorry.
