They're lazy and look worse than SWSH/LGPE and are not at all a unique or memorable artstyle in terms of the colours, shading etc. They look worse than the Smash characters. The style is clearly lacking art direction and passion and looks like exactly what it is-- a mobile dev trying to mimic the style of a Pokémon game.
If you honestly can't see anything wrong with them then you lack taste.
