There's so many people always trying to run hyper offense mons or use the game's legendaries even when they're not good match ups. Its because of that and cases like yours OP that I learned pretty soon after launch that running support pokemon is probably the best option. I'm always saving runs or bailing people out of their dumb decisions with screens, blocking status effect users with safeguard, healing, or using Follow Me to tank the damage for everyone. I'm glad I learned it early on because it honestly makes raids a lot more fun to do.
