https://youtu.be/MnmCQIrSxH4?si=QYdVr1c2kaaec5Z2&t=66) and there's a segment where a bunch of "gyaru" pokemon trainers show up, ending on Jynx. And I thought "A gyaru Jynx would be cute". Ruka just came as an extension of that idea. Though she herself is based on a melting pot of various Gyaru I've read in manga and seen in anime.
I also only recently realize I've kinda based Jynx off of the Jynx from the banned "Pokemon episode250". In it there was an attentive Jynx Nurse who nursed Brock back to health. It was one of the first times I ever thought "Wait a minute. Jynx is kinda CUTE" So I wanna channel as much of that energy into Ruka's Jynx.
