Dare I say I found it?
A thread with actual sensible opinions?
The thing about SwSh is that there's no middle ground with me. There's a lot of great ideas, but the biggest crippling flaw for me is the dex cut and overall simplicity of the whole game for me. It's by no means the worst the franchise has ever been, but it's given us some worries for future games.
That also being said, the game has a lot of ideas I enjoy. The camp is probably the best Amie/Refresh has ever felt to me, and the only thing holding it back is the lack of more versatile toys, because you can only play with so many balls for so long until it starts feeling mundane. That being said, any time my Pokemon catches and brings a ball back to me, I can't help but just giggle like a sperg at the sight. I also like the Raid Battles, but the frequency of them is too little, and they seriously need to improve the AI trainers.
Basically, in short, a lot of what
>>41537730has said I can agree with, except maybe the textures, because it's good this time around they don't have shadows baked right onto the textures unlike Gen 6 and 7.
