>>55262075Ohmori is the guy who wants your adventure to be an institutionalized "challenge" with rules, fellow competitors, and senior people evaluating you. You are not on your own, it's not "your very own pokémon adventure" but an annual activity shared with many others. You are basically a kid doing extra curricular activities. The evil teams aren't evil, just marginalized people rebeling against the rules of the institution. He needs an actual villain at the end so he resorts to plot twists in some respectable character.
Regardless of quality of the games which depend on many factors, Ohmori must be an extremely unfun person inside based on his vision of adventure alone.
However I'm not sure if it's worse or better than Masuda's over the top stories about saving the world from the hand of lunatic villains. But I wish we could go back to the lone wolf role of the fist two gens, with no friends, fellows, no planet or institution to save, just you against the world.
