Pokemon has never been about having amazing graphics. It has always had less good graphics than its contemporaries. What it excels at is art style. These remakes look like pure SOUL. The art style is deliberately faithful to the originals instead of just being SwSh but with a gen 4 coat of paint, which would have sucked because they inevitably would have watered down most if not all of the dungeons and long routes. The people saying "IT LITERALLY LOOKS WORSE THAN A 3DS GAME" are obviously being hyperbolic.

Yeah and isn't that literally what everyone fucking wanted in the first place?? None of the remakes changed anything significant about the core games, excluding stuff like Delta Emerald but that was just a bonus post-game thing. FRLG were almost 1:1 RB, HGSS were almost 1:1 GS, etc.

We have seen one and a half MINUTES of gameplay, and people are already blowing things out of proportion ("muh trees").
As a person who would rank gen 4 just under gen 3, I am hyped as FUCK about these new games.
