>>56894239Fakemons in my opinion can and should only be applied to OC regions as while you can feasibly tamper with regional dexes using realmons because information is already available about them, you can't do that with fakemons because it's not something that a Pokemon fan would have prior knowledge of, likewise, an OC region has the same issue. Which leads me into the point that I was about to make.
I'm still not certain about the setting of Alex's DnD adventure. Part of me wants to make it a sort of fantasy Unova, but I also don't like the idea of tampering with what little we know about its ancient history, because Ship of Theseus. I've been considering making an OC setting completely separate from the Poke-earth that we know, but this also presented the issue of "where do regionals come from". The answers that I propose is that they are simply "Variants", normal Sandslash live in the desert, "Variant" Sandslash live in the snow. This also opens up the usage of fakemon that I think would be fitting for Alex such as this Cloyster and Venomicon-E from CAP. That being said, I don't want to include too many fakemons and I want them to all be competitively viable, so I'm limiting myself to CAP and a few fake regionals at most, but since the audience are NOT familiar with these mons, I'd have to post a spreadsheet for mandatory reading in order for you to know the stats and other information about these mons. Fake regionals are also easier to justify than outright fakemons, so I could just limit myself to these few "Variants" so that the audience isn't completely blindsided, and it would lead to a much smaller spreadsheet. You know what time it is.
