A game with vastly superior online functionality and a postgame battle facility with unique NPCs and a genuine challenge, even if the bulk pokemon sets within that facility were straight up reused from BW's Battle Subway. There are even some legendary Pokemon to hunt in the postgame, even if it's all KANTOOOOOOOOOOOO pandering and what-not.
Make no mistake, XY was pretty barebones itself, but it still managed to be more fleshed out than SWSH and that's with the burden of creating the 600+ Pokemon models from scratch that we're still using today 8 years later.
