>>48723628>RoarkLed Psyduck to chip his Nosepass slightly as he paralyzed me with Twave, then sent in Staryu and just obliterated his team with Water Pulse, basically completely free. Had he set up Sandstorm with Nosepass it could have been more interesting, but eh.
>Mars/CherylI don't have any of the tools or mons I need to defend myself against strong dark/bug types, and Mars has a Yanma with Silver Wind and the Purugly knows Faint Attack this time around. However, you can outlevel her by quite a bit with Gardenia's level cap, which is what I ended up doing, and it made Cheryl a joke as well.
>GardeniaSo, I used a strategy I'll probably use a lot in this run. On her lead Bellossom, I led Kirlia, who happens to be male, and Captivated a few times to bring it to -6 SpA. Then, I damaged it enough, so that on her healing turn I swapped to Meditite and, yes it is a little silly, set up a Substitute Calm Mind sweep. The reason was because Meditite is fairly slow, and I didn't know how reliably I could reset the Sub if need be against her special attackers who obviously wouldn't care if I set up 6 Bulk Ups. Anyway, it didn't matter. Bellossom used 6 Stun Spores on the sub, Roserade came out next and broke it, but then she sent in Tangela who I set Sub on again as it went for Stun Spore.
Sucks to suck, but anyhow I just killed everything fairly easily after that.
Now time for possibly the hardest section of this particular run.
>>48724238>>48724248That's a real fuckin shame, Norman can be an absolute monster to deal with. Hopefully the Mudkip line can shine for you in a later run.
>but the absurd difficulty seems really intimidatingYeah, it's a hard game. However, it does give you a lot of tools to approach it, like a whole bunch of giftmons, better held items, etc. and the trainer documentation is very good. Still, the enemy team comps alone make it imo his 2nd or 3rd hardest hack.
>>48723590Good luck anon.
