I started as a NSFW artist because I looked at some of the stuff other people were producing that was very obviously low effort and said "Fuck it, I might as well give it a shot." I'd also had some rather unpleasant commission experiences and decided that it'd be far easier to just start drawing them myself. Fell in to a good community who gave me a ton of feedback (Seriously, ask people to tear your drawings apart, this is a huge part of how I've improved), and eventually transitioned into SFW stuff when I was happier with doing different poses.
Bottom line is, next time you get a cool idea just draw it yourself, and don't stop. It'll probably turn out horseshit (most of my stuff still does) but the next time you get an idea, you'll be able to execute it just a little bit better.
