Yes and no, I don't hate megas or anything, but I hate that its become the main over-centralization in things. Even when it came to leaks, the main things most people were looking forward to were 'muh new megas' over anything else in the games and introduced the power creep.
Example, Haxorus had like the 10th highest strength with 147 in BW, XY its fallen below even top 30 with 19 of its successors being megas.
