Battle Dojo
You and your foe must compete to deal the most damage in a single blow. The catch? Each side can only attack once.
You'll want to bring Pokemon who can set up or debuff, and thus attacks that force switches could be encouraged, as would be abilities like Suction Cups to counter those. Additionally, if you predict your opponent going for an attack, you can try to switch into something that resists or is immune in order to screw them over. When judging the power of attacks, the game will count how much damage it would do to the opponent regardless of their max HP. Crits are disabled, and Protect, Detect, Substitute, Fly/Dig/Dive, and any similar moves that can completely avoid damage are banned.
After you've attacked once, the game will disable all of your offensive moves, and from there on, you have to stay on the defensive and do whatever you can to nullify your opponent's oncoming attack. There may also be an alternate mode where each player can have as many as three chances to attack, and your best of the three will be chosen.
