>>57508133Spain lacks known mythology period, there is VERY little that is known about pre-Abrahamicuck religous beliefs besides the vague notion of "local Iberian, Celtiberian and Celtic religions, as well as the Greco-Roman religion". The most known stuff is regarding the Basque Country and compared to more prominent stuff like the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Sumerians, etc, there is only breadcrumbs.
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basque_mythologyThe most well known symbol of pre-Christian Spain is the Lauburu pictured here, which in some cases is also associated with other Northern Spanish ethnic groups such as the Galicians, Asturians, and apparently for some reason the Illryans of the Balkan Peninsula. I guess such a design could be worked into clothing or accessories, however, (in my opinion) this doesn't really work for Ceniza, her dark skin tone highlights her as ostensibly Southern Spanish, in contrast to the much fairer skinned people like Treasure Boy that originate from the regions/autonomous communities that I mentioned. Galicians in particular tend to have much higher rates of blond hair/blue eyes from my knowledge while Asturians just have lighter variations of the brown hair and eyes that the Spanish are known for. People like Alto would probably just be in the middle (Castilians)
All of this is a pretty long-winded way to tell you that if you're looking to incorporate pre-Christian/Mudslime invasion elements into Paldean worldbuilding, you're pretty much out of luck except for the Lauburu, and if you want to be accurate to the real world, your OC has to come from the north of Paldea and have the light features associated with those people. There really is just kind of nothing to go off of besides that. Maybe you've learned some more things about pre-Christian Spanish myths but on the internet this is about as much as the average person can access.
Idk how Paldea's government is, so I just go by the rule of a gradient slider based on south to north
