I don't know about you but from a gameplay standpoint I find both the the original and the remakes basic turn based jrpg slogfests that make you endure way too much bullshit. Sure the remake has quality of life and and fixes that can make things slightly less obnoxious but that's not enough for me to care because the minutia of game mechanics has never been where I find the appeal of pokémon. I like games because of the universe they present and in that aspect the remakes do bog down, sanitize, censor and add shit that I'm unwilling to welcome because as I said negatively impact the aspects of pokémon I care for.
