>>40409046Maybe in a few gens when their 'future proof models they can reuse for the next few consoles' are obsolete - And even then, I don't understand why, after the game is released and a region has it's set Pokemon, that they couldn't patch more in after the fact. Especially since Game Freak has 3rd Party team who's making the models anyway. Just make more 'Future Proof' models and use those too.
And, to be honest, while I love seeing new Pokemon, I don't think I would mind if all we got were more regional variants, along side the Pokemon we already know. I'd be fine with visiting the same regions, albeit in the future when they're no longer remakes, and it's retconned older regions had their own Pokemon variants. And for most of those, they would already have a base model to build off of.
GameFreak is just a lazy and cheap company, who openly admit they don't know what their doing or how to make modern games (while refusing to hire more people), tell fans not to expect much, and certain key staff members have also said they rather be working on Non-Pokemon games, which is why so little effort is put into it now. At this point, I just want GameFreak to design concepts and have a better studio handle everything else.
