The evil team comes into the region and is disappointed by the lack of strong Pokemon.
So they team up with the corrupt Pokemon Professor to force weak Pokemon to evolve.
Together they build a device that can force a Pokemon to evolve by infusing a new type into them.
This results in unique evolutions that are unnatural. Similar to Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
Pic rel is how it would work:
>Take a weak, mono-typed Pokemon>Throw them into the machine>Power the machine with a type-boosting item (Not sure which to go with)>Out comes a unique evolution with a new typeIgnore the specific design, just explains the concept.
From a game design standpoint, it's a lore reason to come up with some really interesting cross-gen evos.
Kinda like if normal Linoone evolved straight into Obstagoon, for example.
The goal is for 18 new cross-gen evolutions, with each type being infused into one Pokemon.
Looking for feedback on the concept and suggestions for which Pokemon should get these evos.
Just pick a Pokemon that's weak and either a single stage or part of a two-stage line.
