All of these Pokemon have some kind of objective connection to sound without needing to reach for something like Voltorb and if it took 22 Pokemon type changes to justify Fairy, there's more than enough for Sound.
However, I don't know why they would introduce it. The type chart is definitely unbalanced right now but I can't imagine how Sound would balance it out unless it was arbitrarily super effective against Steel and Fairy and arbitrarily ineffective against Bug and Ice. I'd also feel like Normal might need something to help fill out its special move department some too, because pretty much everything Sound now falls under Normal, like how Fairy kind of did for Psychic.
