That's why they changed a bunch of pokemon to fairy. The fuck is a clefairy? Of course there are some pokemon that this doesn't make sense with (porygon, jigglypuff, regigas, etc) but it seems to follow this.
A lot of pokemon that are heavily based on animals now have the typing normal in ADDITION to their element. Deerling, pyroar, bibarel. Of course the earlier mons are a little weird with this because before they stuck normal onto anything that necessarily didn't have an element.
