also Hoenn told you that balance between human activities and nature is important, BW told you that we can live with each other with different opinions. What did DPP tell us ? Yeah yeah pokemons are amazing the world is amazing yeah yeah but that's basically what every game does, but add to it an overrated villain with 0 character development, a champion that has no brain and proceeds step by step, and a rival that never ever questions himself and when he does it lasts one dialogue.
To "DP is bad but Platinum is good" I respond
Platinum didn't make the games good, it made the game normal. If DP are D tier, Platinum is C tier. I don't get people who say DP sucks but somehow Platinum is a masterpiece. There's no masterpiece in fixing the most obvious stuff to fix in a game. Platinum is how DP should have been released in the first place.
To "But think about the Distortion World it's so cool" I reapond
The Distortion World was cool. A cool nightmare. They could have expanded way beyond what we got, way beyond pushing rocks in holes. What we got looks cool, but that's really it. It looks cool.
To "It pushes the DS to the maximum" I respond
That's such a lie. The DS releases games like SM64, and much much more. It's not DPP that pushed it to the maximum lmao, with its few 3D buildings and the battles where, if you disable move animations, NOTHING moves. These games have no dynamism.
To "But BW is so linear" I respond
Yeah, so is DPP. There's not as much handholding as today's games (please GF fix that) but these games will lock you anywhere until you complete your quest, with Psyducks, power outages and stuff.
Platinum's post game is the only really cool part of the whole DPP games.
There's some other points I wanted to talk about like the complete miss-use of the lower screen or maybe the holy "Ambiance" that is apparently what makes sinnoh so unique (no) but maybe there's already too many, so I focused on the bigger ones. Have a nice day :)
