>>16185596Because I'm human.>>16180296http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptXXzQ_dXwgSkrelp is an odd Pokemon. This is a fact that has been established numerous times in just one paragraph. Let that be known now. So, it's clear that the little guy is going to come with some odd traits and other bizarre tidbits.
For example, little did you know that Skrelp can learn Thunderbolt.
>'Wait, what?'Yes. That is correct, it's something that you don't learn until you take it up with the Pokedex mid-battle. It strikes you by surprise and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but this is a Pokemon journey and if there's one thing you've learned while on it, it's that beggars can't be choosers.
"Skrelp, Thunderbolt!"
"Skkkreellll!"
"Thunderbolt?!" of course, the ranger is taken aback by the move call. Why in the fuck would a sea-dragon with absolutely no relation to electricity KNOW Thunderbolt? It's almost as befuddling as Slowking learning Flamethrower. Where's the logic? How come it learns Thunderbolt but not Thunder?
Whatever. Logic really shouldn't be a concern when you're about to get fucked by a Talonflame.
"Talonflame, Fly!"
"FLAAAAAAAAAAAME!"
You've been dubious with raising suspicion that the ranger's Talonflame has Gale Wings as his ability, a hidden ability that raises his Flying-priority up the wazoo. And him using Fly first basically confirms it.
In order to dodge the volts of electricity, the relentless bird takes off into the skies. Skrelp squints and can just barely make out his shape. Launching a Thunderbolt from his position would be too risky.
He decides to wait it out again, just like you told him to. Except now he's thinking on his own, he's thinking with his own strategy. In a sense, he's thinking with power, and in this case, that power is SUPER power.
