I'm more of a concept over quality kind of guy, personally. I'm 100% that dude that watches or at least starts all the droves of derivative isekai goyslop that comes out every season, and deeply enjoys them.
I just want to submerge myself in isekai and self-insert power fantasies and escape for an indeterminate amount of time. If the writing is bad, I 'fix it' in my head in real time, which is good writing practice, I guess. Tired tropes, one-dimensional characters, predictable plot twists, it's fine, I'll squeeze enjoyment out of even the most terrible isekai slop. If it gets particularly bad my eyes will just glaze over and I'll make up my own story with the same characters until it's over.
I can't wait until AI is advanced enough to create a never-ending stream of isekai and self insert entertainment so that I'll never run out or have to do anything else with my spare time, but until then I need you anons to keep writing. Even your most abominable terrible shit can be enjoyed by someone else, even if that someone is you. Entertainment is king.
