The new sprite actually looks like it has a lot of time spent on the details and such. Which further proves how much effort went into making all the fakemon and this game altogether.
Remember, /vp/ isn't the majority, this game will probably mostly cater to users at Pokecommunity, and normals in general who will go "ooh, 4chan made a rom hack, it's probably full of obscenity, I must play!" And out comes the LPs of this game.
