Rather than your traditional remake/new gen, Game Freak announces that they won't be making any new gens for the next six years, instead producing one new game every year, using the XY engine and features, that follows all of Ash's travels, one region each game, with the only Pokemon usable are the ones he caught/evolved
I wouldn't be surprised if people actually want this to happen, but let it be known that you have shit taste.
A more realistic horror would be that they handhold you even further in a gen 7 game with little to no new Pokemon.
