https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11758201/1/Take's place in the so called "real world" with some creative liberties taken, the story involves a young trainer and her team of mons trying to come into their own, a coming of age story of sorts, where they must individually come through their own trials and tribulations in order to grow as a team. As the name suggest, this isn't just a one way streak, with the rest of her mons also being involved in helping to raise a good trainer, whether by the dint of their own growth forcing the trainer to adapt and potentially be faced with some very tough decisions, or in a more direct fashion as one would expect.
Mons here talk, so that may or may not be your thing, but I personally enjoyed the work.
