It's a fucking REMAKE, I want to play the classic game everyone has come to love with modern niceties and a modern online community/infrastructure. Especially for a multiplayer oriented game, a new look and new servers to play the game on is honestly plenty of justification.
I want to play the game I know and love at 1080p with an active online community. If I wanted a new game, I'd play a new game. I want to play RBY+ GSC+, and DPPt+, not an ORAS or Lets GO tier sidegrade that alter EVERYTHING for the worse.
Besides, every remake in the series history has added content, even the most 1:1 remake in FrLg added Sevii and and an E4 rematch. So it's more than reasonable to suspect that BDSP have some new stuff under the hood for us to explore. All we need is a harder confirmation of Platinum content than the Gracidea flower person in Floaroma and the game is confirmed between HGSS and FrLg in quality.
