The stores aren't supposed to just sell the pre-release boxes so they have to report based on the number of actual participants, not the boxes they sold, so the next time they order for pre-releases they will actually get less since there weren't as many people participating as product they were sent. The reason they're offering bonus packs is to give people incentive to stay and play so they can report higher numbers, receive more product next time, and make more money. Even if you only stay for a single round you're still a participant though, so if you don't want to be a cunt at least stay for one round of play THEN dip.
