Blaziken was my first starter after 12 years without pokemon. (Poor) It was instant love. I've always liked birds and karate, so a fiery chicken that kicked the shit out of everything was an awesome thing to imagine. I relearned all the typings/weaknesses/strengths with Combusken and cleaned house with Blaziken. It was awesome going on that journey, and I felt I had an ally even if it was a fictional one in a game. She had my back. And still does.
