Is there really any reason to continue to have IVs? If the name of the competitive game is to have the most optimal stats that means everybody will want a perfect IV pokemon. Getting perfect IVs for a full team is not only damn near impossible, but also tedious. Causing people to logically do the thing that makes Nintendo seethe, which is cheat in pokemon.
I understand as generations have come Nintendo has made it easier to optimize pokemon. But It just seems like erroneous stat pads that are a pain to work towards.
