>>55619373Guessing its probably a nostalgia thing. Because Trapinch in RSE can be found early game around the 3rd gym, and most people are still building up their full teams around that time. Same gym is also electric type and trapinch is ground type, so I can see it having it be more sought after then other pokemon around that location to more likely beat it. Then it stay on their team until it evolves and they find it a fascinating evolution to keep on their team.
