>That came out in 2001The level art was done by Henk Nieborg, who did the beautiful level art for Misadventures of Flink (1994) and Lomax (1996), Atlantis doesn't look good because it came out late in the GBC's life, it looks good because it had a pixel art master behind it.
In other words; skill issue. Pokemon has always looked like shit outside of its character designs, it's embarrassing.
