Well the weaker pokemon distribution led to some interesting teams. Volkner uses baton pass strats and Candice has a Medicham which is cute because she's friends with Maylene. I would still argue the battles are just as strong as Platinum's.
Two fire types suck but whatever, use a tm with a fire move or use a flying or fighting type. Bug and Grass aren't threatening and Steel can be managed easily.
I like DP's beginning more than Platinum. Getting attacked by Starly was cooler.
DP is also less linear and you can do gyms out of order.
Postgame is fine. Just search the black trainer card, that's your postgame.
I don't really think DP were unplayable broken messes, Platinum just put bandaids were DP needed them and made Sinnoh great.
