I'd say that maybe Murkrow's beta design would be the thing that sways them, but they are clearly too dead set on defending Honchkrow. I'm posting an artist's (faithful) rendition of it anyway, in the off-chance you didn't know about it.
I agree with you, the witch theme was always apparent to anyone who knew anything about historical perceptions of witches, and its beta design only solidifies it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
I always hated that they threw that theming away. I don't even think Honchkrow's design is terrible, but it'd have been better to be its own line (or standalone monster), rather than an evolution to Murkow.
