I had gotten a copy of blue after my friends did and they were all telling me about their first Pokemon being Pidgey and rattata, so I decided to skip those and find a different first which happened to be..... A Spearow. Forgot to buy pokeballs, kill it and then came back with more balls. Found this cool looking rhino rabbit thing and it's been a staple since. Maybe in another timeline fearow would've been my favorite. Nidoking is amazing though. I've got other little stories from gold and stadium that give me nostalgic love for other pokes. The rest are purely looks and usefulness in nuzlockes and such.
