It was absolultey impossible to switch into with anything but Sableye. Nothing else could switch into power up punch and takes the subsequent sucker punch, return, fire punch, or whatever. Not Terrakion, not Skarmory, nothing but fucking Sableye, the only counter.
Kanga was nearly impossible to check too. The list of pokemon that could outspeed it, survive a sucker punch and KO back are nearly non existent. Terrakion's close combat only kills max HP kanga on a fucking roll.
OU when kangaskhan was not banned was nothing more than a race to see who could set theirs up first, and if you didnt have at least 2 rocky helmet users, and a check, or 3 different checks you basically already lost. The most over powered centralizing shit of all time.
You had not played that meta at any level past scrub town if you couldnt see that Kanga shattered smogon OU into pieces.
