For Heartgold I only had a team of 5 since the leveling is so fucked. I bred a larvitar and yanma special for the run but larvitar won't get past pupitar by the time you hit the Elite 4 and Yanmega needed the choice specs and signal beam to be strong enough, but man those choice specs made it fucking brutal. Nidoking, magmar, and feraligatr were good too, but they always are so it wasn't really a shock
