>>30669944As I understand it the problem is that in sm it's possible to pkhex your battle box while keeping it locked so the hack check won't notice (which was impossible last gen). There's actually a tweet of a player showing he's pkhexing his team mid-tournament (saying how guilty he feels about doing it). So the organizers panicked and started using any discrepancy between the written down teams and the battle box teams as proof that the team has been altered, even in the dumbest situations like wolfe writing down porygon instead of porygon2.
It's again because of the stupidity of tcpi to host a major tournament like this 2 weeks after the game's release, now game freak couldn't patch this exploit out in time.
