It was great.
To me with the first five generations each game seemed bigger and more content-packed than the last.
Even when I play them now as an adult and can see all the flaws they have I still have a really good time with them.
Like, you can feel they were trying to make the games the best they could be, even if they didn't always hit the mark.
But starting with XY it just feels like they weren't putting their all in to the games, and you can feel it.
Like each game was getting more and more barebones.
They just don't care anymore and it hurts to see something you loved as a kid go to shit as time goes on.
