The glitches we did know of had to be deliberately triggered, and were used by players as cheat codes and "secrets".
Compared to most Game Boy RPGs at the time, the story was equal if not somewhat better.
And I can understand not liking GameBoy music, but the music was fine for the time and given the hardware used, these tracks didn't become lasting motifs because they sucked.
The only thing as bad as people complaining that only the first couple of gens were any good are people retroactively attempting to argue that the original games weren't any good to begin with.
