Mainly because the next time it's available as an encounter is apparently in some sea in Scarlet&Violet where it shares the encounter pool with like 20 other pokémon and Magnemite who i would replace it with is a pretty common mon in a lot of games
Other option would be to use Tynamo as a starter in OR&AS since i have all the original starters championed already
