Flabébé are exceedingly rare in the Alola region because their preferred flower cannot survive the tropical climate. An attempt was once made to import a handful of Flabébé from Kalos, but their flowers quickly wilted and they fled towards the beach. This beach became famous when, miraculously, local Palossand offered the Flabébé shelter within themselves, like fairy princesses living in tiny castles. In exchange, the Flabébé venture out every evening to collect beautiful shells and stones to adorn the Palossand with. Tourists flock from far and wide to witness this anomalous behavior, and donations have been put towards botanical research that seeks to breed a more heat-resistant strain of Flabébé's favorite flower.
(This became more of a short story than a dex entry, but the idea kept expanding in my head and I thought it was nice)
